Here you find both dry and moist forests. There is also a small lake called Honkanenjärvi. Some parts are very easy to walk in and some parts are rocky with a lot of dead wood on the ground
The area of this nature reserve is 1,5 square kilometres.

Kommunikasjon
The nature reserve is located about 15 km west-southwest of Övertorneå. The easiest way to get here is to drive to Ekfors via road 799. From there, follow the forest roads west of Lake Puostijärvi for about 10 km in a northwesterly direction until you reach the reserve.

Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- make a fire, remember to bring your own firewood!
- drive snowmobiles on well-snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
