Vaimisberget is a small till-capped hill which is very scenic and from the flat rock areas there is a wonderful view over the river valley. The area is 0.5 square kilometres in size. There is a ban on snowmobiling and you may only light a fire in a designated place.

Vaimisberget lies about 5 kilometres from Överkalix town centre. Turn west off the E10 south of Hedensbyn and then southwards after Lill-Lappberget. Logging roads pass close to the reserve.

Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- hiking - camping - picking berries and edible mushrooms - fishing and hunting in accordance with the laws in force
It is not permitted to:
- make fires other than in designated areas - drive snowmobiles - damage plant and animal life
