Beskrivelse
Turpas is a beautiful, easily hiked pine forest with trees aged up to 250 years. Nearer Turpasjokk stream, there are also spruce and birch. Along the narrow but verdant brookside wetlands, lots of dead trees lie on the ground. A trail runs through the reserve, which is 2 square kilometres in size.

The nature reserve lies about 7 kilometres northwest of Jockfall at the north-western end of Lake Vallsjärv. A logging road passes the reserve.

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- hiking - camping - making fires - picking berries and edible mushrooms - driving snowmobiles on snow-covered ground - fishing and hunting in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
