This is an area of verdant virgin forest in a coastal location. Primary forest grows here on a ridge, with Nördbäcken stream winding below. The area is 0.7 square kilometres in size.

The reserve is easily accessible and highly appropriate as a study object or excursion spot, where it lies about 32 kilometres west of Piteå. A logging road passes which connects with roads to Keupan, Flötuträsk and road 373 at Fagerheden.

Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- driving snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- make fires, remember to bring your own wood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- fish and hunt in accordance with current laws
It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
