Beskrivelse
Stenåkern lies on Sandön island in Luleå archipelago. The area begins in the north at Lappmyrberget mountain. The central parts comprise a vast shingle field which is surrounded by sparse pine forest. The area is 0.4 square kilometres and there is a ban on snowmobiling on the whole of Sandskär, including Stenåkern.

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hike
- make a fire, in the designated area. Remember to bring your own firewood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- hunt in accordance with current laws
It is not allowed to drive snowmobiles or to damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
