Beskrivelse

Here you can climb Södra Liksgielas mountain, which rises to 540 metres a s l. From the mountain, the nature reserve extends further westwards along Storbäcken stream, over the mire called Kallkällmyran and on towards Stenmyran mire. On the mountain grows old-growth coniferous forest with an abundance of both deciduous trees and dead trees left standing and lying, to the benefit of woodpeckers and many other forest species. The area is 4 square kilometres in size.

Kommunikasjon

Södra Liksgielas lies about 12 kilometres southeast of Arjeplog community. On road 95, about 13 kilometres east of Arjeplog, turn off southwards onto a small road towards Hällbacka. After a further roughly 5 kilometres on logging roads you get to the reserve. Alternatively, after Slagnäsvägen, about 14 kilometres south of Arjeplog, turn off eastwards onto a small road which two kilometres later has brought you to the reserve.

Veibeskrivelse

Södra Liksgielas is located about 12 kilometers southeast of Arjeplog. Along highway 95, about 13 kilometers east of Arjeplog, turn south on a smaller road towards Hällbacka, which after another 5 kilometers on forest roads leads to the reserve. After Slagnäsvägen, about 14 kilometers south of Arjeplog, turn east on a smaller road that after another 2 kilometers reaches the reserve.

Forskrifter

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:

  • hike
  • camping
  • make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
  • pick berries and edible mushrooms
  • drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
  • fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force

It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
