Beskrivelse
The nature reserve Smulterskäret lies just east of Småskär in the outer Luleå archipelago. Here you find old-growth spruce forest and abundant birdlife along the shores. There is an old fishing settlement on the southeastern point. There is no natural harbour.
The reserve is 3.2 square kilometres in size. To protect the birdlife, access is forbidden to the sound between Smulterskäret and Mjoön in the period between 1 May and 31 July. Jet skis are forbidden in the whole reserve, and snowmobiles may not be driven on the islands.

Smulterskäret is located about 26 kilometers east-southeast in the Luleå outer archipelago near Mjoön.
Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- make small fires
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
To protect birdlife, access to the strait between Smulteskäret and Mjoön is prohibited from May 1 to July 31.
Personal watercraft driving is prohibited throughout the reserve, and you must not drive snowmobiles on the islands or damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
