Östra Njaltaheden lies about 40 kilometres southeast of Arjeplog. From Inlandsvägen the E45 between Arvidsjaur and Slagnäs take a turning at Avaviken in towards Storbodsund on the north side of Storavan. Follow the road 20 kilometres to Storbodsund and continue a further 4 kilometres on the same road. Then turn right onto a logging road which leads up to Njaltaheden. Östra Njaltaheden Nature Reserve lies 4 kilometres along the logging road.

Östra Njaltaheden is located at the easternmost edge of Arjeplog municipality, about 40 kilometers southeast of Arjeplog, east of the large lake Storavan at Storön. From Inlandsvägen E45 between Arvidsjaur and Slagnäs, there is a turn-off at Avaviken towards Storbodsund on the north side of Storavan. Follow the road for about 20 kilometers to Storbodsund and continue another 4 kilometers on the same road, then turn right onto the forest road that leads up to Njaltaheden. Östra Njaltaheden nature reserve is 4 kilometers into the forest road.

• camping
• hike
• make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
• pick berries and edible mushrooms
• drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
• fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force

It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
