Beskrivelse
The area consists largely of a fairly open pine moor. There are truly old trees here, and one of the oldest pines bears a heritage relict in the form of an inscription saying AVE MARIA. The area is 1.2 square kilometres in size.

The reserve lies about 10 kilometres west of the village Kitkiöjoki. Drive along road 99, turn off in Kitkiöjoki onto a small road which leads west. Follow the road through the nature reserve Anokangas about 10 kilometres and then turn northwards and follow the road for a further 3 kilometres as far as the nature reserve.

The reserve is located about 10 kilometers west of the village of Kitkiöjoki. Drive along highway 99 and turn off in Kitkiöjoki onto a minor road leading west. Follow the road through Anokangas Nature Reserve for about 10 kilometers, then turn north and follow the road for another 3 kilometers to the nature reserve.
Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hike
- make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
