Beskrivelse
This is a low-lying island of till material with lots of exposed bedrock. The bedrock contains the unusual mineral Haparanda-monzonite. On the north-eastern side there are excellent sandy beaches. The area is 5.9 square kilometres in size and there is a ban on snowmobiling on the island.

The island of Norr-Äspen lies about 23 kilometres southeast of Luleå town centre, in the southeastern part of the archipelago.

In the Luleå outer archipelago, the island of Norr-Äspen is located about 23 kilometers southeast of Luleå.
Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- make a fire, but not directly on rocks. Remember to bring your own firewood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- fish in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to drive snowmobiles on the island or to damage plant and animal life. Remember to respect the right of public access and protect nature!
