Beskrivelse
Virgin spruce forest with tall trees and rare species – they are some of the things you can experience in this reserve. Here you find old knotted pines that are 400 years old, which something unique in Sweden. Up on the summit of Björnberget there is a fine view of the surroundings. The reserve takes its name from the little small lake with surrounding mires which lies in the eastern part. The area is 1.6 square kilometres in size.

Kuoratjjaure lies in the northern part of Boden Municipality, about 12 kilometres north of the village Norriån. A logging road leads to the south part of the reserve and continues as far as the road between Norriån and Pålkem.

Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping - hiking - making a small fire - driving a snowmobile on snow-covered ground - picking berries and edible mushrooms - fishing and hunting in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to litter or damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
