Beskrivelse
Kolkonlaki is very special with its oldgrowth forests, and its areas strewn with boulders and featuring exposed bedrock. The reserve comprises part of the boulderstrewn side of Kolkonlaki which slopes down towards the narrow Lake Vassikajärvet. The area is 1 square kilometre in size.

Kommunikasjon
The reserve lies about 20 km northwest of Kangos and there is no maintained road leading as far as the area. The reserve can be reached by driving on the east side of the Lainio river from Kangos northwards towards Hukanmaa. Just before Hukanmaa, turn east and follow the logging road to the reserve. For the last 6 km, the road is in poor condition.
Veibeskrivelse
The reserve is located about 2 miles northeast of Kangos and there is no maintained road leading to the area. The reserve can be reached by driving on the eastern side of the Lainio River from Kangos and north towards Hukanmaa. Just before Hukanmaa, turn east and follow the forest road to the reserve. The last six kilometers of the road are in poor condition.
Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is permitted to: - camp - hike - drive snowmobiles on well snow-covered ground - make a small fire in the designated place - pick berries and edible mushrooms - fish and hunt in accordance with applicable laws
Littering or damaging plant and animal life is not permitted. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
