Kalix outer archipelago is a reserve. The westernmost parts lie about 5 kilometres south of Storön and the most easterly parts lie about 10 km south of Säivisnäs.

Kalix outer archipelago is an elongated east-west stretch. The westernmost parts are located about 5 kilometers south of Storön and the easternmost parts are located about 1 mile south of Säivisnäs.

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:

• camping
• hiking
• make a fire, but not directly on rocks. Remember to bring your own firewood!
• pick berries and edible mushrooms
• fish in accordance with the laws in force

Special rules apply to hunting in the nature reserve, you can read more about this in the reserve decision. It is not permitted to drive snowmobiles on the islands or to damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!

On the island of Kusen, disembarkation is prohibited between May 1 and July 31. It is also forbidden to stay within 200 meters of the island.
