Beskrivelse
South of the lake Karats (Gárásj in Sami), you find Jarrebäcken. The landscape here is a mix of old growth forest, water and mire. In the western part of the area there are some dry pine slopes and ridges with 200 year old pine trees.
Jarrebäcken is situated in Jokkmokk municipality and is one square kilometre large.

Kommunikasjon
The reserve is situated 45 kilometres west of central Jokkmokk. From Jokkmokk, drive towards Karats and then turn towards Vuojatnjarka. After five kilometres, you enter the reserve. You can park right before the bridge over the Jarrebäcken creek.

The nature reserve is located about 45 km west of Jokkmokk along the road to Vuojatnjarka. Drive towards Karats and turn towards Vuojatnjarka. After about five kilometers you drive into the reserve. It is possible to park just before the bridge over Jarrebäcken.

Regulations
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- make a fire, remember to bring your own firewood!
- drive snowmobiles on well-snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
