Beskrivelse
Hippatj is an area of varying nature. Stor-Hippatj mountain in the eastern part has rocky slopes with pine forest also rich in deciduous species. Around the mires in the north-east and south part of the reserve, waterlogged forest grows that contains ferns, including Ostrich Fern. On old willows you can catch a glimpse of Lungwort, shining emerald green on the trees, especially in damp weather. The area is 7.3 square kilometres in size.

Kommunikasjon
There is a turning off the E10 leading west about 8 kilometres south of Lansjärv. Follow the road for about 13 kilometres. From the village of Neitaskaite drive northwards after small roads for about 12 kilometres to get to the reserve.

There is a turn-off from the E10 road about 8 kilometers south of Lansjärv that goes west. Follow that road for about 13 kilometers, then turn north towards the village of Neitaskaite and follow minor roads for about 12 kilometers to reach the reserve.
Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hike
- make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
