Beskrivelse
Degerberget-Hötjärnshällan Nature Reserve offers calcareous coniferous
forests with rare plants, fungi, and birds.
Visitors can enjoy views of the
Piteå archipelago and discover ancient shorelines created by land uplift after
the Ice Age. The reserve is home to the mezereon, the orchid, and the rare
three-toed woodpecker. The fungi, which grow in undisturbed forests, are vital
to the ecosystem.
Geology enthusiasts can explore the Piteå conglomerate and
archaeological remains such as dwelling pits. A unique place for nature lovers and history enthusiasts!

The nature reserve is located about 7 km east of Piteå, south of Degerbergsvägen.
Forskrifter
The following activities are permitted:
- Camping
- Hiking
- Picking berries and edible mushrooms
- Making a fire in designated areas (remember to bring your own firewood!)
- Driving snowmobiles on well-covered snow
- Fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
It is not permitted to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and take care of nature!
