Beskrivelse
Ballekvare mountain features practically undisturbed primary pine forest and on fallen pines one finds two polypore species that are extremely rare in Norrbotten County, antrodia primaeva and antrodia infirma. The forest in the reserve is largely ancient pine forest with individuals up to 400 years old. Between the two mountains, the stream Pråunåjåkkå flows through a forest mire mosaic. The area is 4.5 square kilometres in size.

Ballekvare lies in the most easterly corner of Arjeplog Municipality, about 35 kilometres northwest of Moskosel. Take the road from Moskosel to Iggejaur, then follow the road towards Kuollejaur. 5 kilometres later you arrive at Ballekvare.

Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping - hiking - making a small fire - driving a snowmobile on snow-covered ground - picking berries and edible mushrooms - fishing and hunting in accordance with the laws in force
Littering or damaging plant and animal life is not permitted. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
