Beskrivelse
Asumamaa is a small example of virgin forest in an otherwise exploited landscape. Despite its modest size, the reserve contains both pine forest on exposed bedrock and a leafy, highly productive spruce forest with many herbaceous species. The area is 0.7 square kilometres in size.

The reserve lies in Övertorneå Municipality. It can be reached from the public road between the villages of Littiäinen and Salmi about 10 kilometres west-southwest of Hedenäset. The northern limit of the reserve lies about 550 metres south of the public road.

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- driving snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- make fires
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
It is not allowed to litter or damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
