Beskrivelse
From the 332-metre summit of Åbojen you have a stunning view of the river valley. On the steep east slope, primary pine forest grows with large numbers of old aspen. Certain pines below the cliff are extremely old, thick and tall. The thickest trunk has a circumference of no less than 250 centimetres. In moist areas there is spruce forest and tall-growing plants such as Wood Millet and Alpine Blue Sow-thistle. The area is 0.9 square kilometres in size.

Kommunikasjon
The reserve lies north northwest of Boden, and southwest of the villages of Klingersel/Brändberget. It is fairly inaccessible, but a logging road passes close to the eastern edge.
Veibeskrivelse
The reserve is located about 40 kilometers north-northwest of Boden. Åbojen is located southwest of Klingersel/Brändberget. It is difficult to access but a forest road passes nearby on the eastern side.
Forskrifter
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
It is not allowed to make fires or damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
