Yxnanäs fornstuga

Yxnanäs ancient cottage from the 18th century is next to the emigrant trail. Anna Maria Pettersson was the last to live in the cottage and she lived there until 1912. Yxnanäs home village association moved the ancient cottage here from Flisehult. The unpainted shed next to it was previously used as an hay barn and was moved here in 1928 from Estamåla. The word "måla" is said to come from Old Swedish male and denotes a fenced or measured area of ​​land.
