Beskrivelse
In Lagan stands an old station building, which was named after the river Lagan. From the locality that previously went by the name Berga, the community of Lagan emerged when the railway arrived in 1899.
In 1279, Berga received its town privileges. In the same year, Bishop Henrik was granted the right to establish a market town on his property near Berga Church and the Laga River. These town privileges were issued by King Magnus Ladulås on August 26, 1279. However, no town was actually built, as Bishop Henrik embarked on a pilgrimage to Palestine shortly thereafter and died there in 1283.
