Pumptrackbana Linnés arboretum

The project with the pump track and adjacent outdoor gym aims to increase outdoor recreation and activity in our scenic Linnaeus Arboretum. A pumptrack is an area formed with smaller hills and dosed curves. In a pump track, the idea is that with a few pedal strokes on the bike, you should be able to use your body weight and your cycling technique to gather speed and "pump" your way through a loop. It's easiest if everyone rides counter-clockwise and many types of bikes work well. During the summer of 2024, the spaces between the loop will have a more prairie-like waving grass surface.
