Beskrivelse
The Notteryd nature reserve seems so distant from Växjö, even though it's only a few kilometres away. Follow the blue-marked hiking trail, Notteryd Runt (Around Notteryd), and you’ll feel transported back to an ancient forest. Thick pines are accompanied by abundant bilberries. From the flat stones along Lake Toftasjön, you can listen for the black-throated diver. The mysterious ancient castle of Gripeberg broods over the top of a steep cliff. At the parking area of the nature reserve, there is also a beautiful flowering meadow. Black woodpeckers, pygmy owls and titmice thrive in the nature reserve. Admire the old stone walls of the ancient castle and enjoy the amazing view. Pack a lunch bag and go on an excursion. See the link below for more information about Notteryd. From Växjö, follow the road from Fylleryd towards Vikensved. Road signs to the reserve parking lot.
Forskrifter
You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- damage natural objects or surface formations, for example by digging in the ground, drilling, painting or chiseling on rocks and boulders (the manager may give permission to dig pits for recreational or educational purposes),
- felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees and bushes
- pick or dig up rice, herbs, mushrooms, mosses and lichens, other than picking non-protected species for domestic use
- drive or park a motorized vehicle or trailer other than on a designated road and parking space,
- put up a board, sign, poster or similar without permission from the manager,
- conduct competitions, camps or similar activities without permission from the manager,
- disturbing wildlife, for example, by approaching a nest or playground,
- camping for more than one night or staying in a motorhome or caravan
- make a fire other than in a prepared or designated fireplace
Measures for scientific research that have been approved in advance by the County Administrative Board are excluded from these regulations.
