Beskrivelse
The idea behind the creation of the Linnaeus Arboretum began with the 300th anniversary of the birth of Carl Linnaeus, which was celebrated right after the devastation by Hurricanes Per and Gudrun. Teleborg forest was hit hard by the storms and the renewed interest in Linnaeus led to a joint project between the Municipality of Växjö and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences at Alnarp. An arboretum is an area where various types of trees and bushes are planted. In this case, more than 150 different species were collected and planted.

Linnaeus Arboretum and Teleborg Forest are centrally located in the Teleborg district. The easiest way to get here is on foot or by bike. If you come by car, there are parking lots on Furutåvägen, on Gertrud Liljas väg and on Elisabet Bergstrands väg.
