Hunnsberget, utsiktsplats

Southwest of Lidhult is Ljungby's highest point; Hunnsberget at 230 m above sea level with wonderful views of Småland forest and marsh. Hunnsberget is one of the legendary places of Sagobygden with the legend of Sutaren, the shoemaker, who in wartime hid in Sutarestugan, a hollow in the mountain, for Danish soldiers. From the parking lot there is a loop around the mountain with a steep path winding upwards, around large rocks and bushes. Once on top of the mountain, there is room to enjoy your coffee and look at the expansive view. Be careful with children as there is a cliff without guardrails at the viewpoint. The mountain has always captured people's imagination and there are stories that trolls once lived here.
