Beskrivelse

The nature reserve was established in 2024 by Växjö municipality and is located just south of Lammhult's community. The purpose of the reserve is to preserve the high natural values and promote outdoor life and nature experiences. The area has high natural values, mainly linked to the well-kept wooded pastures. The flora is rich in parts, with a number of red-listed and rare species, including various orchids. The tree values are also high in the form of the old oaks. The variation in the tree layer also contributes to the biodiversity of the area. The farmland in the northeastern part is important for species associated with open landscapes and biotopes such as stone walls and edge zones. These fields also have cultural-historical values as they are important remnants of the older agricultural landscape in Lammhult. Welcome to 20.3 hectares of invaluable nature. As always, respect both regulations and public access rights.

Located just south of Lammhult's community, within sight of the entrance on highway 30.

Forskrifter

You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:

-damage natural objects, for example by digging, drilling, hacking or painting

-felling, cutting, pulling up, picking or otherwise damaging living or dead trees, shrubs, plants, fungi, mosses or lichens. Note: Berries and terrestrial edible fungi may be picked for domestic use.

-collect insects, shells, worms or other animals without the approval of the reserve manager

-drive or park motorized vehicles or trailers other than on roads and in designated parking areas

-make a fire other than in a designated, prepared fireplace

-disturbing wildlife by, for example, approaching a nesting site

-bringing an unleashed dog

Other legislation on what you can do in the forest and land also applies in the nature reserve.
