The long, narrow Lake Feresjön easily brings to mind the inland of Norrland. Cranes trumpet from the swingfly. Whooper swans swim silently over dark forest waters. Lark falcon and double-crested thrush are also found in the surroundings. The area is also rich in both berries and mushrooms.
