Ekhorva nature reserve is located south of Åseda. The reserve is an old cultural landscape with small fields, stonewalls and so called “stenrösen” (basically big piles of stones from when the land was transformed to fields). The area is protected since 2014 and is about 25 hektar or 60 acres.

There is no assigned parking space nearby the reserve so park carefully and with respect along the small road.

Ekohorva nature reserve is about 6 km south of Åseda. Follow the road to Älghult from Åseda and then follow the yellow signs to Ekhorva.

You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:

damage natural objects or surface formations, for example by digging, drilling, painting or chiseling
cut down or otherwise damage living or dead standing or fallen trees and bushes
picking, damaging or digging up herbs, fungi, lichens, mosses or other plants, other than picking individual specimens of non-designated species. Berries and edible mushrooms may be picked for domestic use
collect insects, shells, worms or other invertebrates, other than single specimens of non protected species
drive or park a motorized vehicle or trailer other than on a designated road and in a designated and prepared parking space
camping or staying overnight in a motorhome or caravan
make a fire
put up a board, sign, poster, signpost, art object or similar without the County Administrative Board's approval
conduct competitions, exercises, camps or similar without the approval of the County Administrative Board
disturb or damage wildlife, for example, by behaving foolishly at a nest or playground.
