Beskrivelse
The Araby nature reserve includes golf greens, illuminated ski tracks and rare beetles. Araby is located between the city of Växjö and the cries of the black-throated divers of Lake Helgasjön. The ancient oak tees of the area provide a home to rarities, such as the comb-clawed beetle, and the cardinal click beetle. The red-collared woodpecker and the hawfinch are also thrive amongst the giant trees. At the pond on the golf course, you can find nesting goldeneyes and moorhens. Forskrifter
You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- drive a car, tractor, motorcycle, moped, bicycle or other vehicles other than on designated roads and places
- park within the area
- camp or set up a caravan
- destroy or damage a fixed natural object or surface formation
- affix a board, poster or other disturbing device
- use a radio, gramophone, tape recorder, musical instrument or similar in a disruptive manner
- use firearms of any kind
- disturbing wildlife, for example by taking close-up photographs of birds' nests or the like or by letting dogs or cats loose in the area
- setting fires
- digging up plants, picking flowers, taking fruits and seeds as well as mosses, lichens and fungi or felling trees, breaking branches and twigs or otherwise damaging living or dead trees and shrubs or damaging vegetation in general
- littering with glass, sheet metal, plastic, paper, waste, paint, waste oil or other
Other legislation on what you are allowed to do in the forest and land also applies in the nature reserve.
