Beskrivelse
There are several old railway embankments in the municipality. One is along the Ydrefors-Vimmerby line and the other along the Vimmerby-Spångenäs line. Both embankments are still largely suitable for cycling and several of the old station buildings remain.
This tour takes you from below Vinketomta out on the embankment and almost all the way to Vassemåla. From there it will be a paved road back to Vimmerby.
The embankment is for the most part of good quality with nice and easy cycling surface. Some sections are a little "bumpier", but fully cycleable. Still, watch out - and you may have to get off the bike and lead it 20-30 meters - where you pass the impressive stone foundations for a bridge over the former railway. A bit after Slättfall you get a great trip with almost a kilometer right along Holmsjön. The last bit up to Vassemåla you leave the embankment and here it goes uphill to "Nossenvägen".

Take it easy :
- just before the passage at the former bridge over the railroad to the former croft Fredrikslund.
- quite steep downhill towards Vimmerby Camping; take it especially carefully in the left turn after the camping (if you come from Vassemåla).
Do not miss :
- Fantastically beautiful along Holmsjön.
- The view of a large part of the area on the crest of the road above Grägarp; here is also one of the most beautiful oaks in the area.
