At Elevatorkajen in the middle of central Kalmar, where Kalmarsalen and Kalmar läns museum are located, there is a breakwater. The breakwater has been equipped with a bathing jetty and is today a popular place to take a dip. If you swim here, you will also experience one of Kalmar's finest sandy bottoms.
