Beskrivelse
**Welcome to the cottage in Nynäs, which is accessible to hikers on the East Coast Trail.
In the middle of Humlenäs nature reserve, 300 meters from the meteorite lake Hummeln lies the picturesque cottage. The last person to live here before the cottage became a stop on the East Coast Trail was Karl Svensson, also known as "Kalle på näset", and he owned and farmed Nynäset until 1940. He is said to have been a recluse and unmarried. In his barn south of the cottage he had a horse, one or two cows, pigs and chickens. The cottage was very dilapidated when Döderhults Naturskyddsförening rented it in 1971, but after extensive renovation work it was in good condition. After the ravages of time, the cottage is today in simple condition.
The ground floor consists of a large living room, a small kitchen and a bedroom, and upstairs there are two bedrooms. The stairs to the upper floor are very steep, so care should be taken.
The kitchen has basic kitchen equipment. In the yard there is a simple dry toilet and well. As the well has run dry, you have to fetch water from the lake. Döderhults Naturskyddsförening recommends that the water should always be boiled. There is no electricity in the cottage, so you should bring a flashlight and an extra power bank for your cell phone.
Please note that there is a fire ban in the fireplace upstairs. It is also not allowed to make a fire outside.
**The fee for staying overnight is SEK 100 per person in the cottage and SEK 50 per person in a tent at the cottage.
To be paid to Döderhults Naturskyddsförening.
