Beskrivelse
This small reserve includes open grasslands, coastal meadows, dense hedgerows and groves of trees. The diverse nature is home to a wide range of plants and animals. Colorful flowers, fluttering butterflies, migrating birds - there is much to discover here!
Rich in flora
In Getterum you can see many different plants. The open pasture is home to cowslips, bride's breads, green night-flowering violets, clover and many others. The heath in the far north is a habitat for cowslip, soapwort and sowthistle, and ivy twines around the tree trunks. On the damp ground by Grankullaviken, haymaking flower, mayflower, meadowsweet and yellow campion thrive.
Exciting butterflies
The sun-warmed, flower-rich land is a perfect environment for butterflies. Some of the
butterfly species are picky about their choice of egg-laying site, as their
caterpillars only feed on a specific plant species. One example is the black-spotted blue, a
rare species recorded in the reserve.
Outpost for birds
From early spring to early summer, lots of birds pass by the reserve. They are on their way to their breeding grounds in the north. The northern tip of Öland is the last outpost
before the birds head out over the open sea.

Veibeskrivelse
Öland's northern cape, SW of the lighthouse Långe Erik. Follow signs towards Öland's northern cape. The nearest bus stop is on road 136. Parking is available about 50 m north of the entrance to the reserve or you can park at the gate.
Forskrifter
In the nature reserve you are not allowed:
- Damage or remove fixed natural objects or surface formations.
- Damage or remove growing trees, bushes or plants.
- You must not pick flowers.
- Deliberately disturb wildlife.
- Bring dogs that are not on a leash.
- Camping, setting up a caravan or similar.
- Make a fire.
- Disturb the environment with loud noises such as music, video or radio.
Full regulations
C. Regulations according to Chapter 7, Section 30 of the Environmental Code on the right to travel and stay in the reserve and on order in general.
It is forbidden to:
- damage or remove fixed natural objects or surface formations;
- damage or remove growing trees, bushes or plants, including flower picking;
- disturbing wildlife
- bring an unleashed dog
- camping or pitching a caravan
- light a fire; and
- using a radio, gramophone, tape recorder or similar in a disruptive manner.
