Rås gård is owned and run by Tranås municipality, which currently runs daily activities, green rehabilitation and a nature school with organic animal husbandry and horticulture on the site. It is also possible to rent the facility for conferences, overnight stays or events. Perfect for a confirmation camp, wedding party or as a base for a cycling vacation. You end up in the middle of the Illern nature reserve with access to all the outdoor life that is around the corner. Rås farm dates back to at least the 14th century when, according to written sources, the farm was owned by Vadstena Abbey.

From Ydrevägen (131) turn off to Östra vägen which you continue past Junkaremålsskolan until you glimpse Svartån on the right. Then turn left when you see the signs for Rås gård, then follow the road until you reach the farm.
