Beskrivelse
The sandy soil in Karstorp is primarily home to pine trees thanks to their deep roots. The trees have been allowed to remain here for a long time, and this has benefited many fungi that have attached themselves to the trees. At the edge of the reserve flows the Gagnån, a watercourse that is relatively spared from acidification. The forest is an important protection zone for the river.
Karstorp by Gagnån is a reserve that is relatively easy to reach and is already a walking area for some local residents. As it is new, there is no information sign or boundary marking yet. A road already runs through the area, as do several paths.

From Habo:
Karstorp vid Gagnån is close to road 195, less than a mile north of Habo. So drive north on road 195 and find a parking lot in Fagerhult. The reserve is about 150 meters as the crow flies from the sports hall. If you have the sports hall and the shop in the back, walk to the left along Fagerlidsvägen. After about 250 meters, turn left onto a gravel road. Continue for about 250 meters and you will pass Gagnån and have the nature reserve on your left.

Forskrifter
You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- destroy or damage fixed natural objects or lying or standing dead trees or bushes
- permanently put up a picture, sign, inscription, poster or similar
- picking or collecting mosses, lichens or fungi, except for the collection of single specimens for species identification that cannot be done in the field
- collecting invertebrates with traps that kill. This prohibition does not apply to the right of the holder of the fishing right to fish for signal crayfish.
Other legislation on what you can do in the forest and land also applies in the nature reserve.
