Gyljerydsmon (hålväg)

A detour south (180 m) leads to a hollow way at Nybro, one of Sweden's largest, about 7 m deep. It leads down to Nybro, which was a ford long before the bridge existed. The narrow passages along Lake Stråken were used as fords, but were excavated in the 19th century when timber began to be floated by steamer. A fascinating idea is that the hollow way may have been part of the original Eriksgatan as it is known to have passed Mullsjö.
