In Lake Basta, you will mainly fish for mountain carp that have been planted in the lake. The carp can weigh up to 4 kg. It is possible to drive to and around Bastasjön by car. A fishing license costs SEK 100 per day and you can rent a boat for SEK 50 per day. Drive north on Grännavägen from Tranås, past Farsbo and Duvebo towards Uppgränna, about 2.5 miles. At the sign Björstorp, turn left. After 1 km you will see the lake on your right.
