Fiskdammarna

The approximately 100 fish ponds are scattered from point three on the map and downstream of Mullsjöbäcken to Lake Stråken. The fish ponds were dug out by hand in the early 1900s. Brook trout, rainbow trout and brown trout were farmed here and the fish were then transported alive by train to NK in Stockholm. A person had to accompany the journey to keep the water oxygenated. The business was started in 1909 by Dr. Johan Larsson and ran until 1937.
