Borgen Outdoor

An outdoor
recreation facility that offers excitement for everyone. Here you can enjoy
running, cycling, disc golf, orienteering, wakeboarding, cross-country skiing
and much more.

Our
associations have made Borgen Outdoor an outdoor arena of life, movement and
many adrenaline-filled activities. And with the nice barbecue areas, attractive
wind shelters and the large ‘Aluminium armchair’ it’s also a great place for
those who are a little less adventurous. Come and practise your favourite
sport, try something new or just enjoy the beautiful nature of Alandsryd.

There are several enduro and mountain bike
trails, two nine-hole disc golf courses, several barbecue areas and an exercise
area with a variety of strength equipment. There is a water tap near the car
park/cottage, where you can wash off your bike or refill your water bottle.

Exercise tracks

There are several exercise tracks for walks
and running. The illuminated track is 2.4 km in hilly terrain that is also
prepared for skiing when possible. The entire natural ski track is 4.8 km long,
including the illuminated track. It is lit in the morning between 5:30 and
9:00, and from dusk to 23.00.

Disc golf

There are two disc golf courses nearby. The yellow course is adapted for
beginners and consists of 9 holes that vary between 45 and 83 metres. The first
teeing ground is located just north of Borgenstugan. The red and white course
is adapted for more experienced players and consists of 9 holes that vary
between 51 and 202 metres. The first tee off point is at the bottom of the hill
at Borgenstugan.

The courses are free and everyone is
welcome to play. Discs are available for purchase at Hemmahallen in Värnamo.

Cycling

Borgen also has several marked Enduro and
MTB trails with varying terrain. There is also a pump track in the area.
Children can enjoy the 250-metre children’s track located at Borgenstugan, at
the top of the hill. There is a 450-metre trail on the grass area closest to
the car park, filled with fun features like banked curves and up- and downhill
slopes. Fun for young and old alike. There is a water tap near the car park/cottage,
where you can wash off your bike or refill your water bottle.

Cross-country skiing

If we have a white winter, you can try out Borgen Outdoor’s new natural ski tracks
located just north of Lille Mosse. Four new artificial dams have also been added,
making the site even more beautiful.

Lille Mosse

Lille Mosse is a nature park that can be found inside the 900-metre exercise track.
It has nice wind shelters, barbecue areas and a wooden deck for activities and recovery,
as well as many other exciting things.

The
municipality’s strong design and furniture-making tradition has a natural home
here. Källemo donated the ‘Aluminium armchair’, designed by Mats Theselius. It has
a scale of 4:1 and can be found in the nature park.

Alandsrydsbacken and Värnamo Wake Park

Alandsrydsbacken, part of Borgen Outdoor, offers alpine skiing with a button
lift. There is a snow system and piste machine, which ensure good snow coverage
and a well-prepared piste. When there is no snow on the slope, it can be used
for downhill cycling and is equipped with a bike lift. It is only open
occasionally, so keep an eye on Alandsrydsbacken’s Facebook page for updates.

Alandsrydsbacken offers activities during
all seasons. There are several mountain bike trails, and at the bottom of the
hill is Värnamo Wake Park, a wakeboard park that is suitable for both beginners
and professionals.

Toilets and other facilities at
Borgenstugan

Borgenstugan has toilets, changing rooms, showers and a sauna which are open at
the following times:
Mon-Thu 6:00-9:00 and 16:00-22:00
Fri 6:00-9:00 and 16:00-19:00
Sat 9:00-18:00
Sun 9:00-22:00

Conduct
at Borgen Outdoor

Horses and mopeds are not allowed. Dogs must be
kept on a lead. Please do not walk on the ski track. Get out and enjoy Borgen
Outdoor!
