Beskrivelse
The parking lot at Hovlinsvallen. Follow the trail for about 2 kilometers, then the trail follows Öjönån's many magnificent stepped waterfalls all the way to the highest fall. It is the stately Silverfallet.
The mountains are a cultural landscape and reindeer herding takes place in several places. Four Sami villages operate in Berg municipality. Visitor pressure in the mountains is increasing and with it the risk of impact on reindeer husbandry. As a visitor to the mountains, it is important that you show consideration and know how you should act where reindeer herding takes place.
Keep this in mind when you are in the mountains:
- Always leave the reindeer alone. If you come across reindeer, take a wide detour around or sit down quietly and wait for them to pass.
- Keep your dog on a leash where there are reindeer. A loose dog can cause great disturbance and harm to the reindeer and reindeer herding work.
- Follow marked trails.
- Avoid disturbing reindeer at snow camps, they stay there to protect themselves from heat and troublesome insects.
- Avoid camping in lush valleys.
- Cycle on roads and paths intended for cycling.
