Beskrivelse
The reserve is located on a north-facing slope where moving soil water and good access to nutrients provide good growth of the spruce forest. Individual specimens of spruce can have a diameter of 60 centimeters at breast height and be up to 30 meters high. Other vegetation is also affected by the nutrient-rich soil water. Here you will find tall herbs such as tolta, northern wolfsbane and large ferns.
In the relatively unaffected spruce forest, which has a good spread in age, there is plenty of dead wood. Here among the dead trees are several red-listed woodland fungi, such as the border tick and the scented mushroom.
There are traces of early logging in the area. Two Sami villages use the area as winter grazing land for their reindeer.

Veibeskrivelse
Follow road 342 from Strömsund towards Gäddede. At Bågede you cross Ströms Vattudal and then turn immediately right to drive west along the southern shore of Sjulssjön. After about 5 km you turn left and after about 1.5 km you reach the reserve.
Forskrifter
Welcome to Dunnerklumpen. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of any kind, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- climbing trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, and
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
