Beskrivelse
Hastaböke has an old spruce forest with elements of older deciduous trees and occasional giant pines. The spruces are up to 250 years old. The forest has been untouched for a long time and is therefore home to many unusual species.
The reserve consists mainly of spruce forest where many spruces are 150-250 years old. There are also aspen, beech, rowan and oak. Several aspens are around 170 years old, which is a considerable age for a tree species that rarely gets older than 150 years. Some of the pine trees growing in the reserve are even older, one pine has been found to be as old as 375 years! Historically, the forest was probably used as forest pasture and was then sparser than today. The older pines and the occasional juniper bushes in the area bear witness to how the land was used in the past.

Veibeskrivelse
Hastaböke is located in Hylte municipality.Car: From Halmstad/Hylte drive highway 26 to Skeppshult. Turn right onto Bruksgatan at Skeppshult's foundry and continue for about 6 km. At the T-junction turn right and after 1 km left. After 1.5 km the reserve is on both sides of the road before the farms in Hastaböke take over. Parking is available next to the road.
Forskrifter
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- damage living or dead standing or lying trees and shrubs and damage the vegetation in general, e.g. by digging up plants,
- digging or otherwise destroying or damaging fixed natural objects or surface formations
- driving motorized vehicles or off-road bicycles or parking other than in the designated place,
- affix a board, poster, poster, sign, inscription or similar device, and
- mark trails, organize orienteering or competitions that may disturb the natural environment.
