Beskrivelse
Along road 146, an old limestone coniferous forest spreads out. The nature is varied with both forest, marshes and alvar fields.
Limestone coniferous forests are found in calcareous and often gravelly environments with moving groundwater. Here in Sojdmyr's limestone coniferous forest, spruce and pine have been allowed to grow old. The trees have grown slowly and dead wood has been left on the ground. In this type of forest you can find many different fungi. These include the rare and red-listed fungi yellow lamb's-tail, lamb's-tail, flat-topped club mushroom, black-green spider mite and blue-footed spider mite. The lichen old spruce lichen gives the trunks of the spruces a gray color and testifies to a long continuity of forest. The old forest is also home to a number of interesting insects.
In the central parts of the reserve there are several different wetlands. Most are so-called ag marshes where the semi-grass ag dominates, but there are also rich marshes with a diversity of orchids. In July, meadowsweet, marsh marigold and spurge flower. A little earlier in the year, you can see Mayflower in flower - a pink-flowering relative of the cowslip.

Forskrifter
For everyone's well-being and to maintain the reserve's natural and cultural values, it is important that all visitors show consideration. In addition to the right of public access, it is not allowed to:
- deliberately damage living or dead trees or bushes
- make an open fire. However, field kitchens may be used.
It is forbidden without the permission of the county administrative board to
- use the area for organized competitions, exercises, camp activities or similar,
- collect animals, plants, fungi or lichens for scientific or other studies, or otherwise damage or disturb plant and animal life for these purposes.
The above provisions shall not prevent
- berry, ground mushroom and flower picking for domestic use, however, protected or red-listed vascular plants may not be picked,
- minor excursions for the purpose of spreading knowledge, however, protected or red-listed vascular plants may not be picked.
