Title: Silhouettes - Meetings

Location: Göransson Arena, Sätragatan 21, Sandviken (entrance hall, floor 2)
In the entrance hall of Göransson Arena we can find two rows of silhouettes of people; one on the western side and one on the eastern side.
The stylized silhouettes show a number of people wearing different types of garments. The silhouettes on the western side indicate formal dress, with people wearing long dresses, hats, suits and holding canes. This may give the impression of a more archaic dress.
On the eastern side we meet figures of different sizes/ages wearing more casual clothing. Some of the people have musical instruments in their hands or other attributes of leisure activities. It is a more diverse group of people on this side of the entrance.
The artwork Silhouettes at Göransson Arena captures the founders of the Göransson Foundations on the west side and on the east side all the people and activities that fill the arena today.
The work is created by local artist Maria Forsling Jenke, who works with design and crafts with a strong focus on form. Jenke has carried out several public designs.
