In a corridor inside the Cultural Center, where among other things the dance and movement halls of the cultural school are located, we see a number of shapes and movements on the walls. As we get closer, we can see how the shapes and movements are made up of different materials and techniques: (wall) paintings, sound installations, pipes and textile installations that together create large tapestries. A jumble of mixed media with the free movement patterns of graffiti and 'doodling' can be experienced in the work(s) as well as the improvisation, music and dance.

The artwork Om en kommunal korridor (funk) is created to celebrate the creativity that too often drowns in organization and rules. It is a reminder of the central role of creativity in the Cultural Center. The final form of the artwork has been created through workshops conducted with different groups that used and/or moved in the Cultural Center in the fall of 2017.

The work is made by the local artist duo [war] (Jon Perman and Karin Bäckström), whose art often explores the possibilities of textiles and music to build spaces, objects and shape new realities.
