Beskrivelse
Even in the distance you can see Rännkullarna. With a highest peak of 320 meters above sea level that stands out like rolling green waves in the landscape. On Rännkullarna grows deciduous coniferous forest and there are several very steep sections. Rännkullarnas nature reserve is located one mile southwest of Enånger and covers 62 hectares. The area has several interesting traces from the last ice age. The so-called highest coastline (the level where the sea reached its highest during or after the last ice age) is here at 240 meters above sea level.
Below the highest coastline, the force of the waves in the former sea has washed the finer particles out of the moraine. But left behind the larger stones and boulders. The sea has also created the shingle fields of rounded stones that are found here and there on the slope.
Rännkullarna and the area around Storåsen have long been known for their botanical values. The unusual fungus asptagging has also been found on Rännkullarna.
It has its main distribution in Gävleborg County and is very rare outside the county.

The nature reserve is located about one mile southwest of Enånger.
Forskrifter
Special rules apply within the nature reserve. It is not allowed to:
- drive a motorized vehicle
- take firewood. Firing is only permitted if you have brought your own firewood
- breaking branches, felling or otherwise damaging living or dead standing or fallen trees and bushes
- damage, pick or collect plants and fungi. However, picking berries, edible mushrooms and flowers for personal use is permitted, with the exception of protected and red-listed species
- climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or burrow, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately harming or disturbing wildlife
- bringing an off-leash dog or other unleashed pet
- putting up a picture, poster, billboard, sign or inscription
- damage any fixed object or surface formation, such as moving or removing rocks
- engaging in rock climbing.
