Hamnäsleden

Right next to Norrlandsporten is the village of Hamnäs, and it is here that the gateway to Norrland towers up in the form of deep forests and blue mountains. A tangible change of scenery and the Hamnäs trails offer just that.

Old forest, incredible views beyond Lake Bergviken and proximity to other mountains and trails. Hamnäsleden is divided into two trails: Digerbergsleden which goes around the entire mountain and Klätterleden which is the trail that goes to the viewpoint and climbing wall. There is a shelter with a barbecue area and two top anchors for the climbing expert. The view is magnificent.

Both trails start right next to highway 83 and you have to cross the road and go through a fence to get to the start. Within 100 meters you have forgotten the busy road behind you, as you are invited to the green old forest and its mystery. Quite immediately, the climb up the mountain begins and along the trail you can learn about the history of the area. Among other things, about a coal bed and clap fields. A bit up the trail splits as the climbing trail diverges towards the viewpoint! The long trail continues uphill, through the forest until you finally come out on a forest road. Then the long climb is over and the trail continues on the road where there are signs.
