Gammelgården - Torsåkers Hembygdsgård

Bergsmansgård from the beginning of the 19th century, old-fashioned shop, shepherd's hut, threshing barn, blacksmith's shop, shoemaker's shop etc.

Gammelgården is beautifully situated in Lummerbacken on the slope of Klocksberg with a breathtaking view of Torsåkersbygden. There are nine buildings on Gammelgården's grounds in addition to the caretaker's house.

Torsåkers Hembygdsförening was founded in 1924 with the aim of creating a homestead.
On the ancient Hagas farm in Stenshyttan, a mountain manor was found, which was built in 1801-1805.
It was a good representative of the building style in Torsåker at the time when many of the large mountain farms were built.

A threshing barn with horse walks, a shepherd's hut, stables with a gate lodge, a dwelling house and a carpenter's shed, a meadow barn, a mangle shed and a spraying shed, a carriage shed and an exhibition hall, a shop and a baker's shop, a shoemaker's shop, a blacksmith's shop and a restaurant.
