Ramsellskogens naturreservat, Naturreservat

When you step out into Ramsellskogen it really feels like you have come to the wilderness. The large boulders, with hats of soft moss, the stately trees and the small beautiful wald tarns, make you think they are moved to a painting by John Bauer. If you can see a forest being somewhere, it should be here!

The foremost nature values ​​are linked to the fire-rich nature forest. Inside there are areas with old spruce and areas that are rich in dead wood in humid environments. Some parts of the area are more affected by late human activity, but the majority of the area is untouched and has high values ​​for biodiversity.

Ramsellskogen is situated in a terrain with lots of boulders and is a large, natural forest area for this part of the county. The number of paths that cross the forest are very few and the fire-embossed pine-dominated forest exhibits an open and bright environment that is at the same time varied and undulating. At the southern end of the reserve is the Djuptjärnen, which draws many visitors annually due to the fine fishing. There is a wind shelter and on the other side of the road there is a dry gas, both built by Hinsen-Logärden's fishery conservation area association.
