Ösjörundan

The trail includes old paths around Lake Ösjön in connection with the Ösjöbuan, Grönvall and Västtjärnslindan pastures in Mockfjärd. The trail was inaugurated in August 2018 and is a tribute to previous generations to remind us of the extensive pastoral farming and charcoal burning that took place in the area for just over five generations, from the beginning of the 17th century onwards.

Along the paths there are information boards that together form a unique document where you can read about the farmers' extensive walks to and from the settlements, about the charcoal sites, the charcoal work and the pastoral life. With the handover, the trail will be included in Friluftsfrämjandet's trail system and become accessible to the public.
